Grandma (Mammaw) Comes to Town

Grandma reads to Zachary

My mom came up for a visit this week and is enjoying meeting her newest grandbaby and spending time with us. Zachary loves all visitors and took to her again quickly and easily, even though he hadn't seen her since Thanksgiving. He's been hugging her and sitting on her lap. It's pretty cute to see since Mom isn't an overly affectionate person, but when confronted with a happy snuggly boy, her gruffness disappears and you can tell she loves it. She even read some stories to Zach (who wouldn't take no for an answer) which was a sweet and tender moment. I think he really loves that she will go outside with him (his favorite place). She smokes, he plays in the dirt. It's a win-win situation.

Lucas is getting some Grandma love as well and seems entranced by her glasses. He will just stare and stare at her face and even gave her some of his adorable smiles. I don't have any pictures (yet) of the two of them, but have a couple more days left of her visit to take more pictures.
