My Last Ultrasound!

I had my very last ultrasound of this pregnancy today. I'm 38 weeks, 5 days, and this was to check on Baby Bun's growth and how he's looking. His growth has slowed a little bit. He's measuring right now at 8 pounds, 3 ounces (according to the ultrasound lady) or maybe it was 8 and a half pounds (according to the doctor who re-did the same measurements). Either way, his estimated due date is apparently around April 11th (my official due date is April 15th). Anything after 38 weeks is considered term, and if I get to this Friday I'll be very happy that everything is fine and normal and I won't be concerned about Bun coming too early. In fact, I'll be quite happy because I'm more than ready to meet him and spend time with the boys for my maternity leave.

I have my regular doctor's appointment on Friday morning and I think she's going to likely schedule a date for an induction for next week if I haven't had him before then. She has told me she doesn't want me going past 40 weeks which is great news for me because I'm not sure my skin can stretch any further than it already has and I think we need to have this baby ASAP.

We did not get any ultrasound photos today which was a bummer. After waiting more than an hour after my scheduled appointment time, they then ran us through the ultrasound pretty quickly, and were pretty efficient and business like. So it was a little sad, but I have about a hundred pictures from previous appointments (and many in 3-D) so I'm pretty happy regardless. And I'll see this little guy in person within, hopefully, the next week!
